Belle River Solar Farm Fiasco

This is what happens when developers utilize a loophole in the green energy act to install 44 – 10kw tracking solar panels. These were installed under the Micro-Fit program and pay .83 cents a kwh. The land owner put them on 44 vacant lots in the middle of a subdivision. The area is zoned residential use. The access road is was to be a regular road. No sewers, no lighting, no curbs, no fire hydrants. On paper, this is presented as 1 solar panel on 1 residential lot. Looks a little different then that when you see it up close.
