It does not at all. It is all political. No one is calculating the energy in kw, or kilocalories, that it takes to fabricate these devices, and if they are feasible.
And from a scientific stand point, there is no such thing as "renewable" energy. All energy was created in the big bang and we are just trying to harness it. Once it is transferred to another form (heat or motion), it does not form into energy again, at least not the same amount. It is total political bull ****.
