Because they want to keep the white knight of Green Jobs omgz!!!! alive and well for the 2012 campaign.

If the public were to learn of the complete and utter scam that is "Green" jobs (via Solyndra and Beacon), the far left-wing would lose this cynical tactic.

3. We should support both countries' right to exist, provided they stop fighting and let each other live in peace.
4. same sex marriages and civil unions should both be legalized.
5. keep it legal

The Answered:
1. No, because the United States has a large black and Hispanic underclass who would be the recipients of the wealth transfer. Socialism can work in a high IQ and racially homogenous society like Japan. But in a diverse country like the United States with a high IQ white and Asian population and a low IQ black and Hispanic population, socialism means taking away from the hard-working and intelligent races and subsidizing the dysfunctional races, and therefore making the underclass grow more and more.

2. I don't know a whole lot about the way consumption of natural resources affect the planet, so I can't answer your question.

3. The US should support a Palestinian state because it would go a long way towards resolving a lot of the Western-Muslim animosity. However, it will never happen. Just look at who owns most of the media and who has a tremendous amount of political and social influence. Hint: they have big noses and thick hair.

4. The US should not legalize any type of immorality.

5. Abortion should be legal for low income people but illegal for high income earners. I favor eugenic abortion because it benefits the human gene pool in the long-term.

Brianna Answered:
1. Yes- at least until the economy isn't down the drain.
2. No. Some people/places just aren't capable of using those energy sources yet, and that doesn't mean they deserve to be taxed more.
3. Independent Palestinian state– I doubt that occupying the place would ease any tension, but then again, the feud between those places seems intent on staying unfixable.
4. Yes. Being denied rights over something as trivial as your sexual preference is deplorable.
5. Pro-choice. Criminalizing it will just make more criminals, not lessen the amount of abortions.

Bill C Answered:
1. Absolutely, yes!
2. Again, yes
3. The necessity for a Palestinian state is clear. But it cannot exist until all Palestinians accept the right of Israel to exist. Israel does need to stop building settlements in places that are clearly going to be Palestinian someday. The US needs to continue to support Israel, but not everything Israel does. And the US should try influence the Palestinians authorities (mostly Hamas) to accept Israel.
4. Full marriage equality. Civil unions (the old "separate but equal" wasn't equal in the 1950's and isn't equal today) don't cut it. There is no legitimate reason to deny legal marriage to gay/lesbian couples. As it is, no church is forced to perform or recognize any marriage it doesn't want to. Same-sex marriage won't change that. That having been said, hundreds of thousands of US churches and synagogues already perform such marriages, even where they have no legal recognition.
5. I am opposed to abortion unless there is an absolute necessity. But I don't believe criminalizing abortion will stop it. It will only drive it back into the alleys, where the woman seeking an abortion is as likely to die from the procedure. Rather, the keys to eliminating abortion are education and access to contraception. Sadly, those are two things the pro-life forces tend to oppose.

Jeffrey H Answered:
1. What then is the Christian view of social justice? The Bible puts forth time and time again the notion that God is a God of justice. In fact, all his ways are justice (Deuteronomy 32:4).

2. How, then, should a Christian view climate change? We should view it skeptically and critically, but at the same time honestly and respectfully. Most importantly, though, Christians should look at climate change biblically. What does the Bible say about climate change? Not much. Likely the closest biblical examples of what could be considered climate change would be the end times disasters prophesied of in Revelation chapters 6-18. Yet, these prophecies have nothing to do with greenhouse gas emissions, but rather are the result of the wrath of God, pouring out justice on an increasingly wicked world. Also, a Christian must remember that God is in control, and that this world is not our home. God will one day erase this current universe (2 Peter 3:7-12): 7 But by the same word rhe heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but wis patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 dwaiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

3.Furthermore, the Bible supports the notion of social justice in which concern and care are shown in regards to the plight of the poor and afflicted (Deuteronomy 10:18 – He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing.

4. Genesis 2:21-24 speaks of God's original plan for marriage and will serve as the basis for the biblical definition of marriage: And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

5. This issue is the cause of much controversy in the Christian community. Each of the two extremes is represented by those who feel very strongly that their position is the Christian one. On one hand there are those who spend many hours writing to their Congressmen, picketing abortion clinics, campaigning for conservative candidates and using all means available to influence and improve the quality of government to conform it to the Christian worldview. At the other extreme are those who take Jesus words My kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36) as their motto, refusing to vote or get involved in any effort to affect the culture in which we live.

I like the fair tax idea.Taxes are ridiculous, we pay taxes on our income, we pay taxes of up to 9% on anything we buy.We pay taxes of gas, taxes for our house, a lot of taxes come out of our paychecks I don't even know what they are…taxes for our car tags, taxes on our phone usage…it is a wonder we have anything left.about 26% comes out of a decent paycheck, and 9% when you buy anything, that alone is 34%.If minimum wage is $8 an hour then we are lucky to get to use ^6 of it take out your gas and car expenses to get to work a soda and lunch money and your do better to just stay home. I think we should let Israel do whatever and concentrate on our own country. The government shouldn't have to legalize same sex marriagesor civil unions under the guise of a free country they tell us who we can make vows with? They have a criminal justice system…yes a justice system run by criminals.Whether abortion is legal or not people who want to kill their babies will do it.It's like making a law against suicide…need ghostbusters to catch them then to put them in jail.

RWLake Answered:
I will attempt to answer your questions from a Christian point of view.
1) I believe in equal Justice for all ( not social ) The Bible teaches not only for Christians to be charitable to their neighbors and provide for their needs, but it also teaches each individual must work in order to share the common good. So I am for a reformed tax code that has EVERYONE contributing to the Common Good with the RICH ( who are they?) paying more based on percentages and graduated tax rates. A key word in this statement is "Charitable". No man has the right to tell another they MUST give to others but a Christian freely gives for the good of all.
2) I believe the future of Global Energy production will never be solar or wind. Sure they can be a source, no problem, but as we see over and over again, they are not economical feasible for the huge needs of all nations. Having said that, on a case by case basis some tax incentives might be a good thing. However, these incentives should never be open ended and go on forever. There needs to be a period of time in which the incentives have to be phrased out if the energy source being subsidized is going to be economically sustained. In other words, it needs to be able to stand alone and pay for its self. Although I firmly believe the U.S. and other nations must get off oil, I also know we will be dependent on oil for a long period of time. Therefore we need to in-cent companies to continue to explore and find new sources to sustain our needs until the time where new forms of energy can be developed.
3) I have no doubt the U.S. should continue to be a strong ally of Israel. Not only for obvious Biblical reasons but also due to the fact that the Jewish nation has a right to exist on the land that God promised to them. As we are currently seeing, the Palestinians have no desire for peace. Just look at the rockets being launched into southern Israel as we speak. Israel is the ONLY ally we have in the Middle East. If they fall, the destruction will not stop there. What has IRAN ( who is close to developing WMD ) said? They are going to wipe Israel and the U.S. off the face of the map. Nuclear weapons have changed the entire picture of that region. We saw what terrorist did in N.Y. Do you think they would hesitate to use a bomb to killed hundreds of thousands? We need to listen to what people are telling us, instead of thinking, "They don't really mean it".
4) Again, basing my Response on Scripture, the obvious answer is no. Just because the media or anyone else supports a position doesn't make it right. Each of us needs to know , Who Am I, and What Do I believe.
5) What do you think the Bible says about murdering innocents? That's a pretty strong "No".
