It's very inefficient, but it can be done.It would be renewable.You can make it more efficient by replacing cows with wood.
I suppose you could use a cow to power a mill by turning a wheel, but a steer would be better than a cow.

I've heard of 2 ways to use cow waste to create energy. If the cows are grass fed then their waste can be dried and burned as fuel. If they are grain fed then their waste is not solid enough for this, the waste is put into a digester which speeds up the decomposition process and it produces methane, which can be used the same way natural gas is used.

they are renewable from thousands of yeareven in developing country still in great use and non polluting one but nowdays using animals became also not so environment benfit in broad sense as now animal feeds are mass produced in factories thats why.
